Please can someone help, I bought a c220 cdi sport on a 57 plate from evans Halshaw on finance last month and I am having some problems, 2 weeks ago I put my foot down to over take and the ESP and engine management light come on I got home and switched it of and the lights went of, the same happened today but the engine management light stayed on can please someone advise. Thanks in advance

take it to a dealer or someone with a diagnostic computer and work it out from there.

Get them to read the fault codes.

Unfortunately it sounds like you bought a 'Nail' mate. I used to work for Evans Halshaw and most the Merc's we used to buy to sell were ex company cars or fleet & they all got some proper stick!! I had one as my company car an 07 plate, last year & it was dreadful, it drove like it had, had its head kicked in since new & all the others that come on stock were generally the same, some people just dont respect their cars 'when there not their own' lol...and looks like you got the back-lash of it.

Infact I would take it in and complain, people used to bring um back and chew my head off, it would be a pleasure to think you would be doing the same to some one!...so glad I dont sell motors any more!...

I have just had a similar problem on my e270cdi and it turned out to be a split pipe from the turbo , 5 min job all well now, it may just be a simple thing like that and not that you have bought a nail , hope you get it sorted out soon
