Hi guys am having a bit is a ball ache with my car. I had an accident a while back, my car was hit in the left hand side front passenger side. After it was hit there was no lights on the instrument cluster to suggest anything was wrong with ABS or ESP etc... Even drive the car for a week or two like that until the insurance people picked it up.
But after my car stood for a while like couple of months at an insurance company I went to pick it up and I found that it came coming up with some electrics have been temporarily disabled. And I I noticed things like my heated seats, hazard warning lights etc...where not working for a while and they started working all of sudden again. Then I checked the main battery on my car only to find that where my car was they had disconnected the battery because the positive terminal was lose. I then tighten it after this I never got that temporarily electrics disabled message again. (I can't remember the exact words) but now the only thing that kept popping up is the: ESP diffractive visit workshop. This will come first thing in the miring intermittently and later on in the afternoon and evening it will not come on at all. I decided to put a diagnostic on it. And it came up with the following: For ABS
6230 ESP Electionic Stability Program Control
4D41 Check component N49 (Steering angle sensor)
9334 Component N49 (Steering angle sensor) is defective
9352 Steering angle sensor speed too high
5815 Test Control module N47 - 5 (ESP, SPS, and BAS - Control Module)
6210 ABS anti - lock braking system control

And other codes are:
Headlamp range adjustment
9091 System "Pactronic" has detected a fault

Instrument panel:
912E ROM read error

When I cleared the above codes the only one that comes back are:
6230 ESP Electionic Stability Program Control
4D41 Check component N49 (Steering angle sensor)
9334 Component N49 (Steering angle sensor) is defective
9352 Steering angle sensor speed too high
6210 ABS anti - lock braking system control

And so far I have replaced the ABS sensor, removed and put back the steering angle sensor (but not replaced with a new one yet) as I don't know if it is the one indeed that's faulty. But my car now the ESP comes straight on in the morning as soon as I move the car to go. And now it stays on till the end of the day.
Even tried to calibrate the steering wheel and nothing still.

Is this the steering sensor that needs changing or is it the battery issue? As some people in the forums have said this sensor is also battery voltage sensitive. The battery in my car is original battery been in the car for the past 10 years. So should this be battery issue or the sensor issue? As am puzzled now as how can this sensor go when it didn't at the time of the accident? I could be wrong though.

Try starting car the turning the steering wheel lock to lock six times.
