I have a W211 2003 not starting and displaying "ESP Defective" and the radiator fan goes to full blast (Emergency mode . I noticed it only happens when the engine is hot. When it has cool down a little, this problem does not happen.The last few days with the hot weather the engine does not have to run and the ESP comes on and the radiator fan goes to full blast. I have taken the ECU out and put it in the freezer for a few times and it works OK every time. So it looks like there might be a dry joint in the ECU. Does anyone now if the ECU can be repaired.
What would it cost for a new ECU to be fitted.
