Every few mornings after a cold start I have been noticing bad-egg smell

Also the engine seems to run noisier for a few minutes but maybe im imagining it

Doesnt happen most mornings, just occasionally

I know thats usually connected to catalytic converter

Its C220 2010

Should I worry about it?

Diesel or petrol?

If the smell is more noticeable outside the car then try a change of fuel supplier, it might be a higher sulphur content in your normal fuel.

If inside the car try changing your diet :)

It's caused by unburnt fuel reaching the catalytic converter. Sulphur in the fuel forms hydrogen sulphide, the bad egg gas. Left uncorrected it can destroy the cat.

It could be your car is running too rich when cold. Check the air filter first as it's the easiest.

Well, you worry about everything else.

The best cure is to fill up with some decent fuel (Shell V power) and do an Italian tune up. (drive it fast with loads of RPM)

The C220CDI is not a fast car at all so easily do-able.
