Fault codes advice C270CDI

Just got my Mercedes back from the garage, discs/pads/parking brake sorted,
Mechanic hooked up to the machine as ESP fault and infamous air flap click on start.

Two fault codes
B15B8; fresh air actuator blocked/stiff
C1142 Lateral acceleration sensor;zero point variation

First off all, B15B8, does this pinpoint location of airflap?

and C1142,could this be bad connection or unit replacement and where is
this unit on my 2001 C270CDI S203 ?

C1142 Lateral acceleration sensor location:

Look for item B24/2 in the diagram below, it is usually behind the rear seats somewhere.

(this for cars made up to 07/2001)

The P/N is likely to be A 163 542 06 18, though you will need to check this against the actual VIN number.

As far as I know this relates to the A/C or Climate system, not sure about location.

Ha ha, yes I am now impressed, is this like picking your first football strip, but waiting on results to see which way to go ?

Thank you and enjoying entertaining posts, presume the bottom photo on last link is the infamous stepper motor ? have been told it's the linkage not the motor that contributes the noisy clicking on start up
