Faulty indicator

Hi

One of the front indicator bulbs failed on my W211 E-class last week, so I got a new bulb from MB and changed it, however it still does not work.

The new bulb looks ok, do the bulb holders go faulty easily as well?

Secondly, are the front left and right interchangeable, if so then I can try and get that one out, though handspace on the left is tighter than on the right.

R&L are interchageable, so give it a go!

the holders can burn out.. a very common occurence on the w203.

Im sure there is a modification to the bulb holder just like the 203 headlights for the same problem just cant seem to find the info anywhere

yes there is.. it just changes the wiring to the holder.

Would this modification have been covered by a recall or is this something that I would have to do myself?
