hi folks

does anyone know if merc do a proper one and where it would be mounted inside the car
i have a non original one but not sure where i should screw it in .. i dount it will hold if screwed it into the carpet

Yes, some regions require an extinguisher by law, there is a factory kit for this.

From the diagram in the catalogue it would appear to screw into the seat frame.

i dont see any bolts under the seats for this ...

hi
try crossmember just under front of drivers seat but make sure no wiring in box section, and make sure you can get at it in any situation,..

ive found that bit under the drivers seat there are two markings in the raised floor bit i guess this is where the two screws go for the mount .. isnt there any wires under there????

Hi All

I purchased a powder fire extinguisher a few months back which came with several fitting kits allowing it to be fitted in several places within the car.

The usual place for a fire entinguisher in a Mercedes is under the drivers seat.

In my C-class boot I have a small rectangular well over on the righthandside which is just deep enough to take a large fire extenguisher. I keep an auxiliary First Aid kit in this well as well as mucic CDs and spare CD magazines.

REGARDS Phil
