Such Good news - Really touches my heart!

Now the remaining Miners should be out within next 24-48 hours

:)

Good news indeed. I did read that they all had book deals and they deserve every penny they get. Coming from a mining family I am aware of the risks they take.

Yes really good news, I worked underground myself many years ago cant imagine what it must have been like being stuck down there for 69 days

Has anyone seen the film Ace In The Hole?
Eerily reminiscent...

Better ending this time though - thankfully.

It amazing - the mental strength of these guys to hold on for so long - its just breath taking!

Watching it is inspirational.
Very few things would make me say a thing like that.

It really is good news, I keep flicking back to Sky news to see the capsule descending and reappearing above ground.

What is really impressive is that 4 guys have left the surface to go down and help the extraction process, I understand that one of these will be the last to leave. Now that's brave.

When the going gets Tough!

We havn't heard much about the unsung heroes of this operation but they deserve wider recognition. Here's a bit of background on the team that broke through.
Jeff Hart and Matt Staffel these were the guys who did step up to the plate! when asked.
These guys should get a medal as indeed should all involved in the rescue.:thumb:

These guys are really speeding up now 9 minutes for the capsule to reach the surface, if it keeps up at this rate the will be finished in a day. Good luck to them.

ALL OUT! Watched it all last night on the BBC news channel-inspirational stuff indeed.
Exemplary coverage by the BBC of a rapidly changing series of events.:thumb:

A triumph of engineering and a triumph of humanity.
I had the pleasure of living with a Chilean family for several years.
It was one of the great formative experiences of my life.
