Car
C63 Edition 507, Audi A6 LeMans
So back story, I've owned a Audi A6 LeMans for nearly 10 years now, I only really needed it as a run around as I was spending around 10 months of the year abroad.... Anyways over the past 12 months I find myself spending more times at home in the UK, but still only using the car sociably and I guess I was now wanting a car that put a smile on my face and that I enjoyed driving.

Cars I looked at:

  • Nissan GT-R - Too Small, every time I floored it I smacked the back of my head off the roof haha

  • Audi RS6+ - Personally a dream car and I very nearly pulled the trigger on one last year, but I convinced myself that there was better value to be had elsewhere for half the cost.

  • E63 (64 plate) - Now I liked this car, was way more affordable than the RS6+ but it just (for whatever reason) failed to put a smile on my face.

  • C63 Edition 507 (64 Plate) - Initially I'd shunned the W204 C63's I was more in favor of going down the Turbo route, but when I was looking at the E63 the garage happened to have a Polar white 507 coupe in and he twisted my arm to take it out, well needless to say I'm glad I did, got back to the garage (Europa Prestige) and thrashed out a deal and managed to knock 5k off the car if I went for a cash deal, they also threw in the MOT, 12 months road Tax, 3 years GAP and will cover the next service, so that was that, the car has just under 19,000 on the clock, 1 owner, full Merc service history with 7 months warranty remaining, the down side, I flew out the country before I could pick it up so it's sitting there waiting for me to return on May 11th, needless to say I'll be like a kid at Christmas on my flight home!

Thanks mate, really buzzing and honestly can't wait to get home!

Excellent choice congrats, enjoy that splendid engine and you should enjoy minimal depreciation in comparison to the other cars you mentioned.

The turbo Amg cars are bland up against the m156.

Great car - looks beautiful

you should enjoy minimal depreciation in comparison to the other cars you mentioned.

I think the gtr is the most depreciation proof out of all of them, just my opinion :)

Hmmm, not sure I agree with that :dk:

That's going to be a long wait!

Great choice, you wont regret it.

I definitely wouldn't call them bland, but I used to think I preferred the big surge of turbo engines. Actually I find large capacity NA is the most natural and satisfying power delivery. As for the noise - well, the emotion had you reaching for your wallet, right?

The M156 will go down in history, no doubt about that.

Get used to shouting out "GOD DAMN!!!" and whooping, while beaming like a 90's kid at a rave.

Pleased with my first venture into AMG ownership.

A 507 would be an even better start to the marque, well done.

Loveley car though...all the same.... Congrats bud.

I have been a W204 C63 owner for well over 3 years now, allbeit with a gap of 6 months between a 2010 and now my 2014 saloon. I can honestly say the only thing I would change her for is another W204! But it would have to be a 507. Nothing else ticks all the boxes so well.
Brilliant car, you will Love it.

Got my W204 C63 in February.
I had a V8 itch that I wanted to scratch and I am happy with my choice.
Have fun, I am.

Best engine ever made

There are a few best engines ever made. Equally as good in various ways/levels. The E60 M5 V10 & the Alfa V6 Busso are a couple more.
