How's that variable displacement engine coming along? I've heard you were concerned about the compression ratio... :D

Hello mate

hehe, yes! very concerned, I need to ask the magic 8 ball for advice

might need to change some of the answers provided by the magic ball..lol

but in short......its properly Fcucked

its also affecting the handling balance on the right hand side, i thought it was a suspension issue but i reckon its something to do with the variable displacement....it has a knock on effect..hehe

Can this be shared with the forum? I'm very interested...

Not for a few weeks yet, it's got "technical difficulties"

How about we give cylinder 1 the same treatment, but to the left side? It might balance things out.:D

Perhaps this will give you some inspiration.

thats a brilliant idea
we can use the corner weight scales and hammer cylinder 1 till we get a 50% crossweight..hehe

I'll bet you could get it to run silky smooth like that, perfectly balanced. If you take it too far we can always add some tyre weights to the conrods.

yes it did, it said "allow oil to bed and give it some sugar" so i did just that and added a pack of of tate and lyle's finest..hehe

Golden syrup for the win!

Classy, but only if we can take the 190e on it's maiden run. I keen to test how the fuel economy is affected by the variable piston timing.

I've got an imperial red s124 lined up as the first customer....

You know the customer better,he'd ignore everything if it comes to Amsterdam etc

so you've got a little person under the bonnet yanking off spark plug covers / connections to injectors when you want to go slow and then gets an a electric shock to make him put them all back quickly when you want to go fast?

Not quite, infact looking at what Mazza and I found in there the other day I'm surprised it's all still under the bonnet.

yes, that was the plan but he wasnt very good at his job, i think he lied on his CV and he could never master the ECO/stop/start function, not quick enough...lol
