For old farts:: new Morgan Aero 8

I love the Aero 8. For some reason they remind me of modern day Jensen Interceptors (which I love even more), not aesthetically, but more the concept.

Thinking about it, very British, luxury interior, big V8 from another manufacturer, simple design with quirky features, maybe it's a more obvious parallel than I first thought.

For those who can, buy one.

I quite like it with the hardtop in gunmetal grey and black - very Gotham City!

If I was striving for the "quirky" look I would save up and get one of these "8's" .:dk:

There in totally different classes can't really compare ...tho I sort of like the i8 but have you seen the i3 it's horrendous ...are Morgan still useing wooden chassis ?

i8 is much too futuristic for an old fart like me

A Morgan is one of the few cars that would tempt me out of a Mercedes - If I had the money

When I was 21 yrs old, I met a young lady from our London office who owned a white Morgan. She used to pick me up at East Croydon. Sadly the meetings were for business purposes only.

Being in a Morgan just felt like something to be treasured - Especially with a beautiful young lady with long blonde hair.

Sean - Get one and enjoy it !

And for some strange reason I like it.

Do you have to lift the boot to fuel up?
You'll look like a right one at the pump!

The front view really doesn't work for me ... the numberplate splitting the grille ...

I would hazard a guess it is aimed primarily at US market - so [mostly] no front plate.

Have to agree about the front look - every detail is just slightly OTT, giving a "trying too hard" overall impression. Gorgeous side view though.

I can't see a problem with that, it's the same on my TVR; it means you don't have a fuel cap spoiling the lines. It does, very occasionally, result in the garage cashier switching the pump off because they don't know what you're doing :D , but I got wise to that after they did it the first time.
