Old lady next to my father house has this old car in the garage. I said I'll ask is it's worth anything.
Her husband died 10 years ago but I think it's been stood longer than that. I think it has Air-Con.

She has two sons (50 ish), they only managed to push it out so they could use the garage.

I suggest sticking it on ebay @ 99p start and no reserve as this seems to get the best price as it generates lots of interest.

I would try advertising it in the Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine which would probably get the best price if its in good original condition.

My father told her he doesn't think she'd get £100.
What would it be worth. It does start up I've been told.

Where is it? If somebody on here is nearby perhaps they could go and look at it to get an idea of its condition, or even sell it for her for a percentage.

looking at the engine bay it doesnt look like it has aircon, infact i would say aircon is rare on the w123 series as i have never seen it on any of the cars i have seen whether advertised on ebay or autotrader.

Clean W123s are worth strong money these days, £1k+ if it's a nice car.

If nothing else it will export well being a 123 with a carb....

Ebay is your best bet.

well just to be awkward.....

we've had 2 W123s, both had aircon :)

I'm interested to know how you can tell that one doesn't have aircon as none oif the shots show where the dryer, condenser or pipes are.

Admittedy on a 200 A/C would be unusual

Definately looks like a 123/200. And the chances are that it's Manual as well?

I had a 1985 200 ten years ago, a really good car, but they really hate Unleaded Fuel. It also damages the valves & guides if it has been used on unleaded, which I most probably doubt seeing as it was last on the road in 2000, I think you could still get LRP then.

Good luck.

I'm new to Mercs and no expert but I think I've found a compressor down low, left of the engine (looking from front) and dial on the dash, coloured blue, It's Automatic BTW.

It's definatly got ac.

A rare option back then.

Ripe for export.

Colour wise it looks as if its Thistle Green with the typically 70's olive green interior

I'd be tempted to drain all the fluids (including the fuel tank), refill, and get her running.

Battery will be flat as a pancake though.

Once running reliably, that car will be worth a lot more.

Is that from using the Russian site Vlad? Not sure on the year of the W123 but they state:
Note: The VIN decoder only recognizes VINs of vehicles manufactured after 1980.
