Just had the front pads replaced on my 57 W211 and all works and stops fine. Thing is when I press the peddle and stop the car if I keep my foot on the brake I can push it all the way to the floor. I can't remember if it done it before replacement. Instinct says it shouldn't do it.

Thanks

It definitely should NOT do that..
Sounds like word seals in either the calliper/s or master cylinder..
Had they bled the brakes as well as replacing the pads?

I would take the car to them and ask them "Why the pedal sinks to the floor"
DONT let them tell you its normal.. It Isnt !!

Bleeding is a method to get air out of the brake system (bleed the air) a soft/spongy pedal COULD indicate air in the system. As above, return to where you had the work done and ask .

I checked with engine off and no travel on pedal. Does that mean no air in the system?
