Hi the front puddle lights do not work althought on checking the drivers side the lamp was blown.
Have checked with a voltmeter and it seems that both connectors are live (removed the lamp).I checked the passengers side as well and this is the same, why are both sides live? Would have thought that they operated from the door courtesy light switch so would have expected 12v on one terminal and when the door was opened an earth connection on the other side.
I noticed from other posts that these lights are connected in to a unit but would have thought that both sides not working would rule out a faulty unit, any help would be appreciated.
