This is strange. Very often when filling my 2019 CLS W257, I get to about half way & the pump starts to repeatedly cut out as if the tank is full. I either spend several minutes filling a "cup full" at a time or have to depart with half a tank. Tried manoeuvring the nozzle but it rarely makes a difference. It isn't at all filling stations but annoyingly it DOES happen at my local one! Anyone else had this?

Well all the fuel pumps have the same spouts have you tried other pumps at your local filling station

Yep tried that, no difference. Another Shell garage nearby, never an issue. A couple of stations in the next town; sometimes ok, others not!

Perhaps it's the speed of delivery?

Indeed - if necessary you can reduce the flow rate slightly by not pulling the handle all the way.

I had this problem with my CLS, I always use Shell fuel and almost always use the same garage near my home, I had only had the car a couple of days when I wanted to fill up, it took about 10 mins to fill and i thought there was a problem with the car as this was the first time I had filled it up.

cut a long story short, the pump I was using had a blue button that HGVs could press to deliver the fuel at a faster rate, well it turned out the button had got stuck in the fast position Dohh

Yep Shell garage for me too. I'll take a look at the pump when I next visit.
