Hi all,
I need a fuel filter for a 1990 2.5 16v. Apparently there are 2. I have the larger one but cannot find the smaller one that attaches to it. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Martin.

on my 2.0 190 there is one pump, one filter and the third thing is a kind of damper which basically prevents the pump from making strange farting noises. (cant remember what they call it atm)

i replaced just the filter and pump and the pump farts occasionally so clearly the damper is there for a reason.

Its called the accumulator- its meant to damp the fuel pump pulses and keeps residual pressure in the system to aid quick restarts. They do occasionally go wrong but should not require regular replacement

The 16 valve 190's have two pumps. Well apart from the very early 2.3-16's which only had the one pump.

Thanks Graeme. yeah, I sussed that out today. The accumulator is fine so that saves a few quid. I have the 2nd fuel pump on order so hope to be back on the road soon. Next job is to try and get my dash lights working. Always something to do.
Cheers,
Martin.
