Well today I replaced the thermostat and like nearly everyone else, managed to break the T piece that links the fuel pipe from the low pressure pump to the hight pressure pump with the pipe to the pressure release valve (at least that's what I think they are). So question number one... What's this bit called and has it got a part number? Mine is a 2001 e220cdi, but I guess any 220cdi of similar vintage will use the same part. For that matter, will any fuel resistant T piece do.

Part 2. I also noticed that the connection at the low pressure pump end of the pipe appears to be damaged - the white clip piece is missing, if not more. You've guessed question number two... Name and part number of a new connector with accompanying O rings, etc? Does the pipe come ready attached?

Thanks in anticipation.

Well I purchased a T piece only to discover that the fuel pipes were rock hard and no amount of heating was going to soften them. So purchased some fuel pipe - everything 6mm bore. Everything up and running, but there appears to be slight weeping of fuel at the joints. Any suggestions in addition to adding some jubilee clips?
