Fuel prices

RON95 in Russia is around 20 rubles a litre (40p ish). We have a choice of 92, 95 and 97. :) Most Japanese import cars (mine!) run on 92 which is about 18 rubles (36p)

Four days and counting... :)

Clearing out my pm box and I saw a reference to this thread... wasn't so long ago that we were paying 105p a liter and complaining that the price had gone over £1 a liter!

M.

Two months ago I was complaining about paying $5.10 per gallon* of Shell Premium Unleaded, which is £0.8165 per litre :wallbash:

* That's US gallon - the only liquid measured in US gallons in The Bahamas is petrol - all stations are from the States, and no-one bothers to recalibrate them :dk:

i always found that abit weird, how a gallon measure can be 2 different things. I was suprised whn i found that out.
that must play hell with MPG figures when comparing reviews on US/UK cars.

I wonder where its all going to stop, the next threshold is going to be £1.50 litre, but if there are less cars on the road, thats one benefit I can live with

Not so long ago, there was a big song and dance about prices dropping.

I think within a week they were back where they were before again.

Load of cobblers.

Old Georgy Porgy threatened to consider a fuel price stabiliser but considering the massive amount of cash they get from fuel, how strange then that it's taking while...

Yep there is:

US and Imperial Gallon. Two different things: about 3.7 liters for the former and 4.something for the Imperial I think

1 US Gallon = 3.79 Litres = 0.83 Imperial Gallons

1 Imperial Gallon = 4.546 Litres

1 Litre = 0.22 Imperial Gallons

I saw the beginning of the thread and immediately thought "WHERE ????" then realised it was Dec-09... lol :-)

LOL, I had at least two friends in Nassau asking me if I can help them to get "English version" of such-and-such as they look it up and it's got fantastic MPG, way better than US cars!:bannana:

Latest prices here are 148.9p a litre for petrol and 153.9p a litre for diesel.:(
