I thouught i knew all about simple removal of relays , and all other simple items on my car. Its like a Chinese puzle. No just pull up and extract the item its like its screewd down in the cradle .Had problem with the ovp relay as well last time i removed it to try a good one . As i am as old as the hills, could there be something i am not doing to remove this fuel pump relay .

Just keep pulling, the pins oxidize in the connector and don't want to let go.

Now i got it to-day, it was make or brake .Took the battery out to get a better look .Pulled tugged it will not come out .Then after 15 mins i took a better look and on the bottom of the plastic holder its sits in i saw two slots .Now after i pushed screw drivers in bothe slots it came out. Nothing wrong with it ,bottom was nice and clean.I know now how to remove it when i get a new one. To all looking at this dont push anything in the slots with battery in the car or you will short out the screw drivers on the bottom contacts of the relay .
