If one were going onto a dual carriageway and if you got there at exactly the same time as an audi A3 1.8T, and a modded S reg Golf GTI, and you were in C180k with a measured 182bhp what order would the three cars arrive at the roundabout 2 miles up the road and why ?

In fact the question is unanswerable because we do not know what their actual speeds are.

If the approach to the roundabout was one lane it would depend on the order in which they let each other in to form the queue of 3.

Anyway you're not going to have 3 cars travelling in 3 lanes all parallel to each other are u (wait, that happens anyway doesn't it... )

the Mercedes would arrive first as the Audi tt would be stuck behind the Golf after pulling over to let you onto the road and the golf would be stuck behind the old lady sitting in the outside lane doing 50 mph ready to turn right in two miles at the roundabout

Come on Greg, just tell us, did you roast them or just pleased you kept up?

The 1.8T isn't massivly powerful, probably a good match and depending on what model the S Reg Golf GTI was it could have had abismal power - VW badged some extremely regular Golf's GTI in the UK, some as low as 115-130BHP, the turbo was the only fairly quick GTI. If you know it's moddified I guess you can tell us more........so do!!!

Well the three cars all were released from traffic lights together. The big wheeled and quick GTI and I were neck and neck with me taking the lead as the speeds crept up. But the 1.8T was miles off the pace!

But surely you out-braked the Golf coming into the roundabout. No ABS on the Golf, and from memory the brakes on Mk1 Golfs were abysmal. Unless of course these had been modded too.
