gearbox and rear diff oil....!

i want to do a gearbox and rear diff oil change on my 1990 300td manual.

i think i need about 2litres for the gearbox and 1.5litres for the rear diff.

what type of oil do i need and wheres the best place to buy it from

Hi dont know about your specific model however when I did the gearbox and diff oil on my clk 230 kompressor the only place i could get the oil was from the dealer. The Diff oil when i got it didnt even have a viscosity on it! If you dont want to try mercedes first then try eurocar parts this is where my supplier usually sends me when they cabt get the parts. Hope this helps.

all td's need special oil. they have a type of lsd. get from dealer.
