Gearbox Oil

Hi

How often should I change the gearbox oil on my 2003 ML270 CDI?

Hope someone can help

Mb used to say sealed for life, but most people reckon 50k is a safe bet, oil any oil eventually breaks down after time

Partial change just drain the sump and refill approx 3 litres, better change pump out the oil maybe 5 to 6 litres.

Most people incl mb just do the 3 litre change.

Other people say dont touch it if its working.
