Gearbox stuck in 2nd gear?

W140 320S from 1996
5 speed gearbox.
just had the battery out and replaced it with new one.
Now the gearbox doesn't shift up, not even manually(1,2,3,4)
what can I do?
Also bumps really rough into reverse and 2nd(D)

Very strange that, my car had a dead battery, then when fully charged my car wont change up either, had it put on a star machine, and its telling me the electrical plate in the gearbox is stuffed?

it needs the fault codes erasing.

My gearbox will not change gear... It will go into first and reverse and will drive in these gears but it won't change into any other gear. Any ideas? Might try posting this as a new post.
