gearbox switch S/C doesn't react

My button(switch) S/C doesn't react at all but I can see an automatic change on the display, sometimes C and in the other day S.

Is there anyone who had similar issue or can help?

Switch has failed probably, it did in my A class and had to be replaced.

What do you expect to happen?

When I use mine nothing happens...but the car will not down change to 1st...and reverse will be a lower ratio...but nothing happens, nothing you can feel.

To check it, find a hill, stop, foot off brake...change the switch...in C the car should stay still, in S it will either go forward or roll back.

Difference is you pull off in first (s) and second in (c)
