Hi all, new to Mercedes, but not to forums.
I guess I'll make all the usuall newbie mistakes (with the car and the forum) untill I get used to how both work.
Anyhoo, I have posted in "new members" and now need some general guidance.
I have a 2001 C220 diesel estate auto (tiptronic) with 148k on the clock and a service history, and aparently the usual rust in the usual places (shame on you Mercedes!)
I intend to do the basic maintenance myself (not a mechanic, but not a retard either)
I guess I'm jus looking for some pointers and some do's and don'ts and the easy stuff like which is the best oil an filters to use, and where to get them etc.(is it fully synthetic?)
You know the score, helping a newbie out??
