Genuine Mercedes battery tray just will NOT fit my 190e 1.8

This is what i find 2 sizes from what i can see View attachment 147672

The one on the left is what arrived, for sure. The one on the right looks like it would have dropped right in. Same part numbers for both in many listings. Shurely shome mishtake.

Bigger tray for the 190Ds? You'd expect to see a larger battery in a diesel, no?

That sounds right. My son's 190D2.5 has the big, wide tray. And so does my 300CE-24.

But both LHD.

Would not think that the size would come in to it And i think Mercedes would make just ome tray that wiould fit them all .
