GL/ML info needed - help

I get about 25+ MPG from my GL350CDI on a run around town, on long runs it will do 35-40 MPG, great car very smooth and pretty nippy, I'm tempted to D6 it along with my E350CDI.. not sure if there's much point though.

Not too many issues with it really, just the typical 7G problems of hesitation but that's because it's a BE model, doubt you would have that issue with the 420CDI.

It does disguise it's size very well, as previously mentioned it's longer than an ML and only slightly higher, same width.. only a problem in a tight multistory car park I don't have any issues taking it anywhere and parking it but the reversing camera does come in handy with parking!

Had a '60 ML300 CDI Sport demo as a courtesy car a couple of weeks ago and the GL drives a million times better, the interior quality is so much better despite being so similar really is day and night difference.

I've had an '07 R280CDI as a courtesy car too for a few days last summer and that was really nice to be fair I was pleasantly surprised, managed 35-ish MPG on combined runs over the few days I had it.. would be definitely worth considering if you want a 4wd 7-seater that isn't as big as a GL

The problem with the R is that it isn't a 7-seater - more a 6.5 seater. The middle seat in the middle row is just too compromised. Which ruled it out for us - which is a shame as I like the car otherwise. If Mercedes could fit 3 normal size seats in the middle row instead of 2 USA-sized seats and an afterthought it would be such a better car.
