Glasgow Curry Evening at The Yadgar

= flanaia1
Well another fine feast that did not disappoint, that lamb Karhai is to die for but I'm sure it gets hotter every time we go Thanks to Harry for making the arrangements and organising the marinating of the lamb, top man As always pleasure to see Stephen and great catching up with Derek and talking old school engineering is always fun.

My education in the Scottish language also improved with sayings I'd never heard before, despite living North of the border for 5 years, so proves you are never too old to learn

I'm looking forward to the next one already and hope we can get a few more there.

You're dead right there Ian. Thegemmesabogie for every other Asian restaurant after last nights offering. Couldn't believe just how tasty it all was and the bill just amazingly low.
Mind you...this morning I was painfully reminded of the words of a weel-kent Johnnie Cash song.

Nice one Harry. :thumb: Can't wait for the next one.

Glad you enjoy your night Derek - it's just a wee bit different from your normal eateries ;)

We are hoping to do it again in a couple of weeks and I would recommend any member near Glasgow that enjoys a curry to come along and spend a couple of hours eating and chatting.

The more the merrier - don't be scared !!!!

Just heard from IanF.

He has a pencilled date of 23/24 October for a Scottish trip. Provisional as yet but should know for sure at the weekend.

Let's compile a list for a potential curry at the Yadgar. If we get enough interest and Ian can't make it them we'll do it without him :D

Great, any more goras please.

It's a term of endearment for us whiteys.

And here's me thinking it was an ingredient in the curry.

Maybe it is

No that's only in the African restaurants.

Excellent news Ian !

Harry, can you arrange ? 7pm suit everyone ??

Lawrence, if you can make it then you are more than welcome to meet up here beforehand.

Ian, how many cases (in 12s) of the foaming ale do you want me to get you ??

Done 7 pm Wednesday 23rd.

Do we want that lamb dish ?

Guys, apologies but I can't make it due to a work commitment. Hopefully next time. :(

Mmmm. That's got a certain ring to it.

4 goras and a spear-chucker.

Wasn't that a film ? :D

Dear Admin and Mods.

You will hopefully appreciate that the Glasgow scene is vastly multi-cultural and we all take great pride in our relevant ethnic status and still manage to rip the pish out of each other in good humour and without prejudice, malice or any racist intention.

If you are in any doubt, please attend our next meeting in the finest Pakistani eating house in the UK.

You will be entertained ..... :D

Hi

To keep it multicultural would an Irish man be allowed to attend???

Should be local (in a hire car eek.) on Wednesday if my week pans out the way it is supposed to.
