Goodwood FOS was Wonderful!!!

Today I took my son and a friend to Goodwood Festival of Speed and we had the most fantastic of days! Glorious weather, the new Mclaren P1, the Alfa 4C, Ferrari's, A Bugati Royale, A California 250. Wonderful cars everywhere! We also got driven up the hill in the new A Class :bannana::bannana:

Sounds good (wood) I had tickets to go but unfortunately couldn't make it I was going to take my petrol head 7yr old daughter (she lives with me so what do you expect?). I gave the tickets to another forum member who hopefully will post some photos on here.

I went, had a great day too. On the Mercedes stand if you are going, take a Mercedes key with you.
At the back of the stand, on production of your key, you get free coffee and you can go upstairs into the stand to watch.

You also get free apples and ice-cream too Yum....

We're there today and sat, booked into chewton glen hoping Chris Evans would show up but he was here last week but nice hotel.
Always take an Audi key but will take merc key as well - great tip thanks.

Question for those who have been this week or previously: I am driving from a different direction from my family, who have my ticket. I gather that the car parks are 1) vast; and 2) scattered far and wide. Where you end up depends on when you arrive / the inevitable queues.

Any tips for how to overcome the likely problem of two cars being parked miles apart, when we need to meet in order to get past the entrance gates?

Been thinking about this day and really have to say thank you to Mercedes. They had an amazing stand, they offered drinks to keyholders, they offered drives up the hill and there staff were great...oh and the cars weren't bad either. Well done MB

The new S in magnetite black was lovely, that paint is my new favourite. It felt hard and was deep and speckly.
The mb grandstand was more exclusive than the Audi one as well.
