Good evening,

I would like to ask a question regarding Audio files and the Command system fitted to a 2013 W204 C-Class (C63 AMG).

I'm trying to get an Android Phone (Motorola Moto G) to play Google Play Music (All access offline content) through the USB port into the Command.
I keep getting a "no music detected" is this possible??

In the past using iTunes I would download music onto a USB pen drive and that has worked fine, I'm trying to see whether Google Play Music service would be better for my needs (on a free 30 day trial atm).

Many thanks,

Forget Android in cars mate, just don't work.
They go into either USB storage mode or Car Mode, and the head units have to support car mode, only a handful do and with so many Android variations out there I think it will die.

I have an Alpine W925R with Car mode and the Sony Xperia Z1 and even that is at best flakey.
I have gone back to iPhone as music in the car is important to me.
The iPhone works far better all round and that is on a head unit dedicated to Android!

Does you phone even allow you to see the music player? Can you browse artist, album, playlists etc.?

I've been playing about with it today and I cannot get the usb side of it to work with Google Music played through the phone :dk:

However if I go into Bluetooth Audio it will stream from the Android phone and it can be controlled from the car controls. It does show the Track & Artist names but not the album covers.
That is some progress I guess, it will work for what I want to use if for :thumb:

RMAD :D
