GPS Antenna for Comand unit

Hi Just bought a 2nd hand Comand unit to replace the Audio 20 unit in my C-class.
Looking though the web for installation instructions i have noticed a few references to a GPS antenna. My Comand unit came without anything else apart from the head unit. I had assumed the antenna was built in (like my TomTom Unit)

Does anyone know if i need a separate antenna, and if so what should i get?

Yes you will need an antenna with a blue fakra connection on it.

You may well need some STAR coding aswell depending on whats in the car already. Do you have phone pre-wire, HK, CD changer etc?

The car has a phone kit pre wired in the arm rest. it shows the phone details on the radio display and the instrument panel. it also has a CD changer in the glove box.

I was wondering if you were able to install the Navigation Comand Unit. I recently purchased a C320 exact same like yours: pre-wired, Audio20, etc... and looking to buy a Comand unit. I though since your car is exactly as mine you might have some advise for the unit part number and etc...

I live in Los Angeles and have heard both US and Euro units work for America. BTW, I found a unit in Portugal for $400, but I am not sure if it will work in the US. Please advise!

I guess your car is not exactly the same, at least I thought S204 (estate) models were not available in the US? What do you mean by prewired, I did not find the OP mention this?

A $400 Comand head unit sounds suspicious even if it did not include the bigger display.
