Well having spent some cash at Elite Car Care, I decided to give the CLK a much needed deep clean.
Wheels first jet washed then dodo juice mellow yellow and rinse, then onto bodywork Surfex HD (Diluted) sprayed on and rinsed, then Snow foam (Last of the megs...now have Bilt Hamber).....then hand wash with some turtle wax shampoo (using up what I have) then rinsed and dryed with microfibre towel. Autoglym SRP to finish (applied in the shade!)

Then decided to look at engine bay, cloths with diluted surfex seemed to do a reasonable job, took plastic engine cover off, sprayed with surfex and agitated with soft brush, rinse and dry...

Then having read something on here about drains in scuttle getting blocked got an old tooth brush and looked to remove any build up of silt or leaves......passenger side...all clear.....Drivers side....WTF! where the bonnet hinges attach theres moss!...pull it out and we have an inch of quality topsoil....you could grow potatoes in there!!....10mins of poking and brushing and vacuuming and its all clear can see paint down there.

I've had car 18 months but I'm guessing its never had that spot cleaned out from new!

Well shes all clean and looking good now! :thumb: View attachment 38677
