Ok, it's a Ferrari - but anyone want to guess which one?

:)

using the phone whilst in a car
not wearing your seatbelt

.......the list goes on :ban:

LOL!! I was statioery at the time! :D

OK, yes, it's a 360 Modena, well done!!

Fabulous car - I've never had so much attention in my life!!

But, WAY too small for me! :( So I may not go out and buy one! :D

By the way, in the petrol station (I had to go!!) the car drew a bit of a crowd and two kids leapt out of their Dads car and ran over to it! They pleaded to be alowed to sit in it, so being the nice guy I am, I let them! Must have made their year!! And the reaction when I started the car and gunned the throttle was magic! :D

(the Dad incidentally was very grateful and standing nearby at all timesl!)

Is that a car club thing then where you use a car for a day or so for an annual subscription?

Yes! It's the Classic Car Club and you pay an annual sub and get points which are exchanged for days in a car of your choice through the year. If you choose your timing right (week days use less points than weekends etc) you can get a a lot of cars in the year - I think I had around 50 days last year! Also, as I'm away for most of the summer, I only take cars at the "cheaper" time of year.

I've been a member for a few years, but this will be my last year as I want to get my own classic now. But, I highly recommend it - I've experienced some great cars! :D

seeing this thread just reminded me that i have a Ferrari experience day still to use that i got for Christmas.

Are they that small inside? I'm 6ft 2" i best fit! haha

Well, I'm 6' 2 also - but, it wasn't the height especially, there is enough headroom, but at 16 stone I found the seat too narrow!! :( (My excuse is I'm an ex-boxer from many years ago (amongst other things!) and I've spread out a little over the years! :D )

but, if you're more lythe than me, you should be fine!!

Well, I had no problem fitting in when I drove one at Rockingham last year and I'm (ahem) a little over 16 stone.

Don't worry, I don't have a Recaro ar$e either.

How much does it all cost?

Insurance is down to the cub - BUT - some cars have a big excess... :(

And, there are deals to be had on the membership fee.. :)

Well I just had a look through the car list and I have to say there are some oddities on there.

The Buick Riviera is seriously cool though!

Great stuff

My old boss was a member of P1 car club and had some really nice stuff... His daily car was a E55 estate at the time. He even took a Bently GT from the club over to Europe.

Looks good, I heared that the Classic Car Club also let you use your points against cars they have in New York - looks good to me, especially if they intend to expand to other cities/countries...

If anyone's interested in the club let me know because they will happily hold an open evening for a group of us to look around and chat. Just need a few days to arrange it! :)

Thanks...I've got to say I'm a bit keen.

What's the deal with the excess?

...as if it's huge, I've got to say it'd going to be off-putting. The fear that some numpty will reverse into it whilst it's parked, or a small shunt, may leave you with a large excess bill to pay.

thanks
