Guess which model this keyfob is from?

those are the smart keys we have over here in the states, most mercedes 97+ have them, there are two versions that one which is the newer and an older one for 97-99 models that are like that but longer...nothing special...

It's moments like this when I realise that I spend too much time on the computer and really need to go out do something useful.

*Thinks*

Hmmmmmmmmm

Rob a 7/11

Streak the High Street

Its a saloon. Its Azurite Blue. Post '99. It IS a Merc.....

come on guys...no need to give up easily...I'll let it dwell for a few more posts..

It's definitely something, nothing usual, some of the guesses are way cold..need to get warmer a bit.. ;)

wouldn't post it if it were from my W202 or w210..

A CLK GTR 'road' car? :)

I can't think of a saloon that is that would have a different key and would be that special.......

A rather pointless thread. From a car with keyless go because there is no way that you could get all that metal to hang from dashboard. The keychain is kept in the pocket and as you can tell it is an old el-code key design therefore it is an early application of the keyless go system which would mean it is an S-Class or a CL with Keyless Go.

You nicked my fob ???

Although the key seems to be plastic and like others merc fobs around, do not be fooled. This fob is made from carbon fibre with titanium surround.

It is worth in excess of $3.7 billion and is a master key for all mercs types/models etc.

Have a fob like this means you own all mercs around.

Am i warm or cold ???? ;)

Im not going to argue with you in case you own a hunting knife.

On second thoughts it looks like a knock-off garage opener that looks like a Mercedes key.

getting warmer...but it's definitely for a car

I bet its from one of those far east car companies like ssang yong or whatever it is because I saw a car of theirs the other day which looked like a c-class coupe.

Here's my guess

This full function, radio controlled vehicle features forward/reverse drive, left/right steering, detailed interior and key fob controller. It runs off a 6V battery or 4 x AA batteries for the vehicle, whilst the hand held controller requires 2 x AA batteries. For those of us who’ve always dreamt of owning a Merc but have not yet been able to afford it, this great value for money car must be a viable alternative! Please note, batteries are not included.

sorry for the grainy pic, but my digicam was running low on batt and this is the last few shots that I could get before the owner took back the key.. :D
did you mean model of car? or just model as in gorgeous girly or gay looking bloke type model?

Alex Best then. altho i am not sure if she was a model but poor old George (God Bless him, hope he gets better etc) bought her a merc so she wouldn't leave him, altho she did and took the car too. good girl!

Maybe its the key to his garden shed-with modded lock barrel in the padlock of course! :bannana:

Close...it's actually from a HYUNDAI.. a colleague just bought one and when I saw the keyfob, it's similar with mercs'.

it's just for arming and disarming the alarm, whilst the boot release is just for show. No IR capabilities.

Have a narna or two :bannana: :bannana:

Would never have guessed that ! So I assume its not used to start the engine either then !

Bizarre !
