Can u guys recommend a replacement h7 bulb.

Which brand is best?? For my w204

It may depend on what you want - brighter light or longer life.

For brighter light I would recommend Philips Extra Vision, also Osram Nightbreaker Plus.

For longer life, but not as bright, I think both Philips and Osram make longlife bulbs.

I tend to stick to either Philips or Osram as I found other brands' bulbs to have a shorter life or to be slightly misaligned in their holders.

I fitted Osram Night breakers to my car as the headlights were out as the car was at the bodyshop. ( Bi Xenon ) H7 for the inner lights, nice crisp clean bright light. You'll need hands like a 6 year old to change headlight bulbs. I've always found that the case anyhow!

I've got Osram Nightbreaker + Unlimiteds in mine, and I've tried a good few as well. Really happy with the output, brightness etc.

Buy them on Amazon from Osram direct they're cheaper :thumb:

Keep the originals in the back of the car - I fitted Nightbreakers to my 204, yes they were better, but after about 1 year all 4 went in the space of about 1 week away from home, so I had to change headlight bulbs at the roadside!

I like these brighter bulbs but there is no free lunch as the filament is designed to run hotter which means a shorter life. Modern cars have upped their charging voltages so that can shorten life even further as small voltage increases have a disproportionate impact on both light output and life. I've measured a running voltage of 14.6V on my W204. By comparison My old 190e never exceed 13.8 volts and the brighter bulbs fitted to that car lasted for many years.

As well they do similar models for the H1 sorry if there is a glaring difference one seems a pound more with less feedback but has 20% more white light I am edging towards these thanks

It's all a bit confusing isn't it.

This link to their website (hopefully) gives the technical data for several variations of 'Nightbreaker'. Click on the 'Tabs' just below the image of the bulb and expand the relevant section. They have also produced limited edition bulbs in the past, ie Nightbreaker Unlimited Gold.

The AutoExpress review may help. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/76760/car-bulbs-2014-halogen-headlight-bulb-reviews

I have a combination of Osram (Dipped beam) and Phillips Touch of Blue (Main beam - (freebies from ECP)) in mine, both sets have been in over two years now, without any failure.
