Hammer Time!

Oh my word ....

What a lovely car , just looks so plain , the ultimate Q car  ..... love the door cards, the stitching pointing forward .... little touches make it special ....and the old skool AMG speedo .....

You could really terrorise people with that ....

Starting this weekend at our Dirty Hands GTG

And maybe even look at one of the small jobs "...transmission mount to lift the gearbox slightly....Steering Damper, new pipes from the automatic gearbox to the cooler" on the WalkerRamp®

All this and a bacon sarnie too! And we promise to put Ian on a leash

Looks superb as is, please don't spoil it put putting on some woeful bodykit that will make it look like some Miami Vice reject. Just my opinion of course, but I think the original owner got it spot on when he ordered it without the trimmings.

As Howard said "Ultimate Q Car"

Congratulations on a job well done...........and the more pics/vids the better !

I think what maggot is saying here is ... "You can't touch this" ... car. :D

Sorry I couldn't help another MC Hammer pun!! :o

AMG Body KIts are not Bling, there very  and subtle. I think it would just finish off the car.

Great looking interior. great looking everything.

I would have agreed with you Peter ....... until i saw the pictures .....

It is just so inconspicuous in all it's C-reg plain ness , gotta keep it that way , no-one will ever know what it is until its too late

You can just imagine pulling up next to some guy in a sportscar, he would glance across and think 'oh , an old merc, i'll give that guy a thrashing .....' WRONG .......

How many bhp does it have Vlad ? having driven a C55 with about 370 ish recently, if it goes anything like that, it must be very special indeed !!

Vlad, if i win the Euromillions tonight , how much do you want for it ?

Surely the way it looks now nobody would bother trying to race it. Therefore total element of surprise on your side

He might see the wheels, i get that sometimes, people glance at the big colour coded wheels and assume you're up for it ......

I'm not , as the whale doesn't have enough power to pull my sock off ..... :o

She looks pretty though .....

80s AMG kits are typically german in the same way mullets and moustaches were.

I have never seen an 80's AMG body kit. Any photo's ?

How can you say an AMG kit for this (80s!) car would be cool and not bling then?

Well done Martin.....nice to meet you at the NEC. I look forward to seeing the car.

What a lovely car Vlad and SOOOOO stealthy......I'd be tempted to stick some 8 hole alloys on it off a 500E and make it look totally stock. Although I do like the wheels you have fitted. The interior is tops too....love to see the see the car in the metal for real one day, to hear the beast too......lovely jubbley!

Official BHP for the car was 340bhp, however, each car was different as AMG used 2nd hand blocks to build up the engines...they called them seasoned blocks and they did this as a seasoned block is able to take the stresses and strains of a tuned engine far more easily.

My engine has been rebuilt by a top engine man and its reportedly kicking out @ 355bhp.

Re the question of price...thats been an interesting story in its own right, but its currently got a provisional agreed insurance value on it and its about to be firmed up by having a formal valuation on it, which could see the price increase.

Here's a game for you enthusiasts....what value would you expect a Hammer to be valued at...may provide me with some valuable info in terms of getting the insurance valuation sorted.

:p

Sorry 'bout that.. but it was begging for it.

Serious looking motor you have there... Please don't chav it up, Britain needs more Q cars!

Cheers,

Gaz
