Not only did the old girl go straight through the MOT with no advisory's but just had a quote with Peter Best Insurance for £192.58 fully comp on a classic car policy with 5000 miles and a £250.00 excess (or would be £256.18 with a £100.00 excess) so am pretty pleased with that! :thumb:

I'm also a member of the Mercedes Benz Club and so it was further discounted.

I'm currently with Lancaster and my renewal isn't due until May, so will see if they can match or better it first.

In addition chaps & chapettes, no claims bonus is not required on this classic car policy (nor the current one i have with Lancaster Insurance), however, they have said that they will keep details of my NCB (currently 8 years) on record so that i do not lose them after 2 years.

Just had the quote through from Lancaster Insurance today - £785.88!!! Just gave them a call and asked why it's so high (only paid about £260.00 last year) - They said that it's gone onto a normal policy and that they can't put my vehicle onto a classic policy.

Oh well, one call to Peter Best and my insurance is now in place for £192.58 - job done!

Limited mileage policies are great... mine’s limited to 5,000 miles per annum, and as I live in town and walk to work it means I only use the trusty W124 on the occasional evenings and weekends... perfect! :)
