Hard brake pedal W203

Well i do my check by pumping the barake pedal till its on the floor --engine off for this . Keep foot on the pedal start the car pedal should rise . If it did not look to the servo seal inside the booster ,,may be split.

Isn't that backwards ?

With the engine off pump the brake pedal until it is high, there is no longer vacuum assistance; with your foot pressing the brake pedal, start the engine and the pedal should fall as the vacuum builds up.
 
No its not .Try another car you will see Push on the pedal with no engine running do it enough it will go down on to the boards .Keep foot on pedal and start the car see what happens ./
 
alecmascot Dont worry about it no one drives the car with a pedal that goes down to the floor .It only happens when engine is not running and all servo vacuum is expeled from booster .I am not that stupid .
