Has anyone got a Cuprite car?

Cuprite E63 at MB Guildford

I looked at the cuprite E63 today and took it out for a test drive.

Nice car, a few bits of wear on interior trim but otherwise very nice. I liked the spec, has the pp, dynamic seats as well as most of the in car entertainment boxes ticked. It didn't have the luxury pack nor the distronic/lane assist goodies but they weren't top of my list.

Thinking of p/x'ing my C63 estate for it subject to agreeing an acceptable overall deal. Any thoughts value for my pre facelift 2011/11 plate estate with pp, diamond white, 19" Matt black wheels, etc with just under 25k miles and just fully serviced this week with fresh rubber (>£1k)? I feel that my C63 spec is great for resale whereas their E63 in cuprite may be hard to shift which I intend to make the most of in negotiations.

And anyone know any history on the cuprite E63 - was supplied by MB Lincoln I think from the location of first owner and first service.

I thought it looked like very dark burgundy in today's light conditions, no doubt would be different if sunny.

My 8 year old thought it was black until I said otherwise so not an 'uuuggghhhhh' reaction and at least different from usual colours!

I like it a lot.

Only seen one car in that colour and it was a C. I think it's a brave choice (because it isn't boring silver or black) but it looks good.

Better than black!

A Marmite car.

I know saab did a ferret **** brown and it looked awful and sold poorly. They were not alone.

I've got 2012 E250 BlueEfficiency Avantgarde in Cuprite..

Full luxury kit, with Napa leather, Walnut Burr cappings, and matching steering wheel.
Love the colour, but it is a real marmite colour in all senses.
All previous E Claas Mercs were in unorthodox metallics, Blue silver E220, Spearmint Green 230E

Looks like the brown bits on my old dad's liver and white springer spaniel.

Seriously, it's brown, might be trendy now but it's still brown.

Trendy? Cuprite Brown has never been trendy.

What an awful colour
