This is actually VERY easy to do .......Go find an old Gas Combi boiler these use a small (bout half the size of a shoe box) Water to Water Plate Heat Exchanger 4 connections ........2 for the "Source water" & 2 for the "Substance to be heated" seperated by some steel plates "Plumb it in between yer Block & Rad connections & away yer go

i was thinking of a copper pipe for the coolant(22mm) then wrap the fuel pipe around it in a coil(10mm) dono if that would do the job

That would work but not a lot of surface area and defo not as good as the heat exchanger idea, maybe worth having a look on a veg forum must be loads of good advice out there.

would i be better o forget the heat exchanger and just add a 5% petrol to the mix ?
im now running about 60%wvo and 40% derv

Space is a bit limited for fitting a boiler exchanger, so I made one out of stainless.
Never fitted it as decided to not run the car on SVO after all.

It's a box with two water pipes running through it. (obviously fully sealed off from the fuel)
