Have any of you used Brodit ProClips as phone/GPS mounts on your cars? If so, are they good/bad/indifferent?

I'm looking to buy an iphone mount that can be swapped between my C43 and a Peugeot 206 - Brodit seem to offer something that could do the job but I'd appreciate your feedback before parting with my hard-earned.

Thanks,

Mike

I have the Brodit ProClip in my C43, the one that clips onto the centre air vents coupled with a flocked phone holder - very sturdy, very well made and hasn't damaged anything. Can get a photo if you'd like.

Yes, I have one for my W211 to go with my TomTom 940.

It works well but it's quite pricey though, although it's much better than having the sat nav stuck to the windscreen or on a bean bag type mount which can slide around if you accelerate/brake hard.

As you may know it comes in two parts. One is the mount which is car specific, and the other is specific to the device you hook it up to and screws into the car mount. They also do one where you can hard wire in as well.

It was about £68 in total, shipped from the US in a couple of days.

Screwing the device mount was straightforward, for the car bit, it just clipped into the gap on top of the dash, and another clipped between the wood trim and the air vent surround. It's quite thin so it was easy to wedge it in.

I have them in both cars for my Navman. DSL Developments in UK are brilliant as a source of Brodit mounts, I've dealt with them 3 times now and they've been very helpful.

Many Thanks for the feedback and pointer to a UK supplier
Gridlock - a pic of the C43 mount would be great if it's not too much trouble

Cheers,

Mike

Got Brodit in all my cars and another + for DSL Developments used them loads great service.

I use the iPod touch mount which is the same as the I phone and its brilliant

Brodit aren't cheap but they are bloody good, have used various other typres like dash mount but they are not a patch on Brodit

The cable obscures the heated seat control but I can live with that - works great for TomTom.

I use the phone via bluetooth and iPod via cable.

I have a Brodit mount in my car to hold my Tomtom 520 and it's by far the best mount I have come across.

Highly recommended !
