ok, I know I'm a bit of a cheepskate but I've been having a quick look on flee-bay and found this head unit:

In Car Dash DVD - Touchscreen Bluetooth iPod 7" Screen on eBay (end time 09-Feb-10 20:39:26 GMT)

and this reversing camera:

Rear View Car LED Night Mode Reversing Security Camera on eBay (end time 08-Feb-10 11:52:29 GMT)

I know these are a little cheap and most probably unrelable but I'm not planning on keeping the car that long but if anyone has any comments they would be most welcome.

What would I need to fit these to my cl203? Where would be best to fit the camera and how easy would this be?

Thanks,

Damian

Headunit is both PAL / NTSC with composite input and camera is PAL with composite connection so it is compatible.

I had a camera in my previous car with a Pioneer headunit. The one I got had guidelines too but you dont really get a true indication of the distance to the object behind you, because of the wide angle distortion in the picture you see.

Most cars with them fitted at factory also have a visual indicator to let you know the distance to the object behind.

There are some better universal cameras like the Pioneer below but it is not cheap at over £300.

Do you not point it so you can see the bumper too, then you can gauge the distance easier.

That would be easier - using the bumper as a reference point as to the distance to the car/kerb/whatever behind you.

Anyone got ans suggestions as to where a camera could be mounted to give such a view?

Thanks

Cheers for the compatibility advice.

Wow, that looks awesome! Don't think I'll shell out 300 quid tho' if I'm not keeping the car too long.
