Hi, I am a new ML owner after years of Land Rovers. What a difference! Don't get me wrong, I take the ML for it's limitations, but on the whole it is just much better put together. No rattles, much smoother ride, so on the whole I'm impressed.

Couple of little niggle though. One being the headlight levelling system. Not working on mine.

Been having a bit of a poke around today to see if I can resolve it, but no joy.

Hand book says that I might not have it though. How do I know? I have the rotary knob on the left of the steering column, so I presume that it's fitted.

Spent some time trying to get that switch out of the dash, but can't quite see how it is supposed to come out. Didn't want to damage the dash surround, tried to prise it out from the front, but it just didn't want to move, so I've backed off that. Don't seem to be able to get around the back without taking lots and lots of dash apart, is that right?

Switched my attention to the fuse (good) and then to the headlights themselves. What mechanisim is involved? Electric or vaccuum? both headlight assemblies seem to have an electrical connector coming out of the back that is not connected. It had an oblong connector pointing down from a circular projection. Can't see inside, but feeling inside it seems to have female connectors for some sort of push fit. Could this be something to do with it? If not, what could they be?

Any advice gratefully received. I cannot find any diagrams on line at all and searches of this forum haven't shed any light as yet.
