As I mentioned in my intro post, my headlining is 99% detached and sagging.
I did make some attempts to re-attach it with upholstery spray glue but as it's the foam backing itself that is perished and crumbling it was a waste of time.
Today I had a guy meet me at work where he inspected it and worked out a price.
He's going to remove the headlining (the board as well!) and take it to his workshop where he'll strip off the vinyl, clean all the foam and glue on the board and replace with the same material that is on the door pillars. It's the soft velvety material. Once he's satisfied it's all in order and 100% he'll return it to my place of work and refit it.
The price?
£130.
Car Hoods & Soft Tops repairs, Car Hood, Soft Top,Cabriolet Hoods, Replacement Hoods
If anyone has had any dealings with him previously or know of his work could they let me know please?
I'll report back once he's finished the job (with photos if I can).
Cheers.
