Heater plugs

Hi.
Would anyone have the colour of the wires relevent to the cylinder, in the box behind the washer bottle to check which cylinder has gone down. It would save me a lot of hastle if it was the one at the front as I can get at that without taking the manifold off. Thanks Mike

I don't know what car you have, but on my 2002 W203 c220cdi, the connectors in the glow plug relay are numbered. When I take the top off, the numbers are on the underside of the box (1 is the front - nearest the radiator).

I can get all of my glow plugs out with removing the manifold. Is yours a pre cdi engine? They needed to have the manifold removed before the glow plugs come out.

Hi of course I forgot to mention its a E300 1998 TD. Thanks I will check see if it has the numbers on the relay. I think I can get at the first one without removeing the manifold just my luck to take the manifold off and it would be that one that needs replacing. Thanks for the help. Mike
