Heating usually fine, but on long runs, if during the drive I open the window, then it sometimes results in sending freezing cold air into the footwell. If I mess about with the direction of the vents it sometimes works, but not always. Did some searches but I can't find anything on the site. Would appreciate any assistance.

Do you have Thermatronic or Thermatic? I know with the former if set to "Auto" and you open a window the system knows and alters the heat settings.

Dont know what type it is, only know that the only change it seems to do is windscreen clearing. Other changes dont seem to make much difference.

Perhaps a bit more info about you car? Year, desciption of the heating controls etc..

Its a 208 model on a 2000 W plate with standard heating controls
