CLK 230 Elegance
Hi All

Just on the verge of purchasing a 1999 CLK 230 Kompressor Elegance.

It seems ok - 100K but lovely interior, and just been reading up on the rust problems. Is there anything I need to be aware of mechanically - it has had one owner for the past 8 years and a good service history.

It is from a dealer who has had this as a trade in, so have at the moment very little detail on the specification. Any thoughts - there is limited warranty!!

The car is actually for my Mrs - something she will enjoy and for Focus money too!

Cheers all - Happy Easter.

Matt

Hi Matt welcome to the forum :thumb:

Hi Matt. Welcome to the forum. You dont half spoil your Mrs.

230 Kompressor - Usually no trouble, bit of srvice history is always good. You have chosen the right trim level too.

Welcome again. And let us know how you get on with the Mercedes.

Welcome Mattyn... I'm new too... How'd you add the pics?! I'm still trying to work out how to / add a new album / upload pics!

Yea I see you're rusty wheel arches... mine has that too... :-/

Hi There. Nice wheels! Welcome from not so sunny Bedfordshire. :)

Glad the pics are ok though I think they might be in the wrong forum!

The rust is going to be my first issue to tackle, along with a dodgy intermittant drivers window motor.

Also have an issue with the parking sensors, so need to get into that too!!!

A belated hello & welcome to the forum from me...:thumb:
