Someone please help me, my left main beam light is not working, I’ve tried changing the bulb and that didn’t solve anything, I’ve check the fuse's and that hasn’t solved anything either?

What are your suggestions? (wires etc. look fine to me)

Thanks

Shiraz

I suggest a voltage check with a meter too, or try another known ok bulb

with a multi meter to measure at the wiring socket (where the bulb plugs in) to see if there is 12v there.

One connection on the wiring socket should be at 12v (lights switched on of course) and the other at earth. There may well be 12v on one wire but as Brian says it may be the earth connection from the other wire thats the problem. See how you get on.

ie try firstly across the two plug connections and then with negative lead to bodywork eg a bolthead and other to the wiring plug to see which one reads 12v . . .

thanks for the infro grasmere, but i dnt have a multi meter and even if i did i dout i'll knw wat im doing lol.

I'll have to take it to the dealers,

thanks

Shiraz

your welcome Shiraz, hope its all only minor.

BTW, a simple little multi-meter is a useful tool for car and home. eg for checking fuses, bulbs etc etc
meters at maplins

At Maplins there is even a small book to teach you the basics.
