hi delboy what model & year,..

On the 320 Cdi they are normally bolted to the side of the engine, quite low down on the nearside. They have a habit of shorting out.

Cheers

its a c220 cdi classic 52 plate

Garage are now saying that the maindealer told them my car may not have this part! But if its come up on their computer as faultly the heater booster must there.. So is it defo below the coolant header tank on a c220 same as
e220?
Does anyone have a diagram or even a picture so i can give it to mechanic

thanks

hi delboy, c220cdi 203mdl,
your dealer is wrong you do have a heater booster, if you look in your functions, in the menue of your computor there is a facility for turning the auto heating off, and as j gevers said, it is bolted to the crank case near side low down,..

On the E220 CDi it is as shown inthe following piccy, the unit is the one with the corrugated pipe going into it.. The bobbly plastic tank above it is a vacuum reservoir for the the EGR system (I believe). The hose in the lower LH part of the picture goes to a small electric recirc pump.
