Help Please - I'm going Mad!

Hi Again.

I have an update. I went to the dealers again today with the following results:

1. I raised the point which Jay suggested regarding the second immobiliser (fuel pump) and they said that they had bypassed the alarm and immobilisers, so they believed it wasn't that.

2. They confirmed that it is the MAS Unit at fault (A0085458532) which looks just like the left hand one in NeilRR's posting (but different Part No) and offered the following possible solutions:

a. They could open up the unit and see if they could clean/repair it.

b. They could order and fit a new unit - they agreed that if it didn't solve the problem they wouldn't charge me (they'd refit my old unit)

c. If I sourced a second-hand unit they would fit that for me.

I told them I'd let them k.ow. Suggestions Please as to how to move forward.

Thanks All

Sorry another question. In the Part Number Chart NeilRR posted it looks like
A 008 545 85 32 has been replaced by A 011 545 83 32
- Does this mean that they are interchangeable?

Yes.

Message for NeilRR - Sorry haven't got to grips with PMs.
Thanks for the information. In your post yesterday, you said you had a unit Do you want to sell it? If so, perhaps you could pm me with the price.

Probably with a MAS, not so true with lots of other control units.

To close this thread, the 2nd hand MAS in post 5 fixed the problem.
